8 Best ChatGPT Rank Trackers in 2026
By Anu Verma
A ChatGPT rank tracker puts the questions your buyers ask to ChatGPT on a schedule and logs whether your brand is named, where it sits among the names, and which web pages the answer cites. Eight of the AI visibility tools we follow pass our bar for doing that properly. Cituna leads for ChatGPT gaps turned into written fixes, Gauge for high daily volume with articles sent to your CMS, and Ahrefs Brand Radar and SE Visible complete the top four.

Key takeaways
- The best ChatGPT rank tracker for teams that want each gap fixed, not only logged, is Cituna (sponsored): it asks ChatGPT your buyer questions every day, records which brands it names and which pages it cites, and writes the fix for each gap, from $49 a month.
- Eight trackers pass our bar of daily ChatGPT checks, a record of whether ChatGPT cites your pages and a published self-serve price: Cituna, Gauge, Ahrefs Brand Radar, SE Visible, Rankscale, Trakkr, Otterly.AI and Peec AI.
- Other picks by need: Otterly.AI ($29 a month) for a small daily prompt set with ChatGPT ads tracked too; SE Visible ($99) for answers gathered through ChatGPT's own interface in 7 countries; Ahrefs Brand Radar ($50) for per-check billing inside Ahrefs; Trakkr ($100) for 8 AI models on one fixed price.
- The same question can get a different answer with ChatGPT's web search on or off. Rankability says its tracker runs with live search on, and Trakkr says it records whether each answer used live search; most vendors' pages, as we recorded them, do not say.
- Prices come from our tool directory and our own guides, recorded from vendor pages between 24 September and 24 October 2026, plus web searches run on 28 October 2026.
If you want to know which buyer questions ChatGPT answers with a rival's name, and get the page that closes each gap written for you, start Cituna's 3-day trial; a card is required. To compare every tool in the category on price and free plan, see the AI visibility tools compared.

How we chose and ranked them
We began with every AI visibility tool in the Automate Basics directory, plus the trackers already priced in our Perplexity rank tracker comparison, and held each to three requirements, read from its own pages as we recorded them:
- ChatGPT checked daily or more often, at a stated frequency, on the cheapest plan that includes it.
- Whether ChatGPT cites your pages is recorded, not only whether your brand is named.
- A published self-serve price for that plan.
Eight tools met all three. We then ordered them by how many of three extras each one adds:
- A free way to try ChatGPT tracking: a trial, a free plan or a free checker that covers ChatGPT.
- Five or more AI engines on the same plan, so ChatGPT can be read beside the other assistants your buyers use.
- The fix written for you: pages, articles or markup produced for the gaps, not only a list of recommendations.
Ties go to the lower monthly-billed price, then to the longer free trial, which is why SE Visible sits above Rankscale at the same $99: its trial runs 10 days against 7.
Cituna's entry is sponsored. It was held to the same three requirements and the same extras as every other tool, and its facts come from its own pages, as everyone else's do.
These tools track ChatGPT but did not meet all three requirements on the pages we recorded:
- Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit checks chosen prompts daily on ChatGPT from $99 a month, but its pages do not describe a log of the pages cited.
- Scrunch ($250 Core), AthenaHQ ($295 Starter, with ChatGPT also on its free Essential plan) and Wellows ($29 Basic) include ChatGPT on their entry plans but state no check frequency.
- Rankability sells a ChatGPT tracker at $99 a month that runs with live web search on, covers Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Brave Search and Google results too, and lets you set a target city, state or region. Its pricing table lists daily tracking on its paid plans, but neither that table nor the tracker page, as a web search returned them on 28 October 2026, ties daily ChatGPT checks to the $99 price, our directory recorded a single $497 plan on 29 September 2026, and a review says daily scans raise the bill. It stays out until the $99 plan's check frequency is confirmed.
- Parse asks ChatGPT on its free plan, with weekly updates; its $79 Pro plan states no frequency.
- Profound runs a 7-day trial of 50 daily prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews, but our directory recorded no self-serve price for brands after it on 24 September 2026, only Enterprise by quote. A web search on 28 October 2026 returned a third-party mention of a $99 ChatGPT-only plan that we could not trace to Profound's own page, so it stays out until that is confirmed.
What a ChatGPT tracker should record
ChatGPT has no numbered results page, so a "rank" in it is three readings of one answer: whether your brand is named, where it falls when several are listed, and whether your page is one of the sources linked under the answer. A brand can be linked without being named and named without being linked, which is why the second requirement above asks whether your pages are cited, not only whether you are named. Those links are also the pages to study when a rival is named and you are not; our guide on how to get cited by ChatGPT covers what to change on your own pages.
Two settings change the answer more than most buyers expect, and few vendors spell out how they handle them.
Web search on or off. Our own manual tracking guide notes that ChatGPT's replies shift with wording, conversation history, account settings, location and whether web search is available, and that an answer written without live web access cannot be compared fairly with one that searched. Vendors differ here. Rankability says its tracker sends each keyword to ChatGPT with live web search switched on, to mirror a real user. Trakkr says it records, for each answer, whether ChatGPT used live search. SE Visible says it collects answers through each platform's own interface rather than its API. The other pages we recorded do not say, so ask before you buy.
Location. If your buyers are in one country, the tracker should ask from there. Otterly.AI lists tracking in more than 50 countries, SE Visible covers 7 (the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain), and Peec AI keeps multi-country tracking for its $495 Advanced plan. The remaining five trackers' pages, as we recorded them, do not state a country setting.
If you would rather test a few questions by hand before paying, our walkthrough on tracking your brand's visibility in ChatGPT sets up the same log in a spreadsheet.
The 8 ChatGPT rank trackers, ranked
1. Cituna
Sponsored.
Cituna asks ChatGPT your buyer questions every day, alongside Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, on every plan. Each run records which brands ChatGPT named and which pages it cited. From there it does the work most trackers leave to you: for each gap it writes the fix, such as schema, FAQ markup, llms.txt files and articles, ranked by impact and effort, and it can publish the articles to WordPress, Shopify or Sanity, to a GitHub repository as Markdown, or to another CMS through a signed webhook. The sites ChatGPT cites become an outreach plan, with a pitch for each site and a status from planned to placed. Search Console data comes with every plan, and buyer questions can be drawn from your own Search Console queries.
Starter costs $49 a month for 1 brand and 10 buyer prompts, with 30 written articles a month. Pro is $119 for 3 brands and 30 prompts, adding competitor tracking and alerts, and Max is $399 for 10 brands and 90 prompts. The 3-day trial covers 1 brand and 5 prompts on all 7 engines, with the top 3 prompts checked daily.
Where it falls short: the trial needs a card and becomes Starter unless cancelled, competitor tracking starts on Pro, its pages do not state a country setting, and Microsoft Copilot is not tracked. Source: Cituna's pricing page, recorded 22 October 2026.
To see which of your buyer questions ChatGPT answers without you, and get the fix for each one written, start Cituna's 3-day trial.
2. Gauge
Gauge tracks ChatGPT natively on its Growth plan, as one of six engines with Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. It reports a mention rate and a citation rate for each engine, plus the traffic AI answers send you, and it publishes its own volume: 600 prompts a day and 108,000 AI answers a month on Growth. Finished articles can go straight to a connected CMS.
Growth is $599 a month with a 1-week trial; Enterprise is quoted.
Where it falls short: it has the highest published entry price of the eight, and Claude and Grok run only through your own API key with those providers. Source: Gauge's pricing page, recorded 29 September 2026.
3. Ahrefs Brand Radar
Ahrefs Brand Radar has two ways to watch ChatGPT. Custom prompts run the questions you choose on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule per platform and record mentions and citations. The AI Visibility Index looks a brand up across Ahrefs' own bank of search-based prompts without any setup, but those prompts are re-tested monthly, so treat it as a benchmark rather than a daily feed.
Custom prompts start at $50 a month for 2,500 checks, which Ahrefs pictures as 80 prompts a day on one platform, and each check over that costs $0.02. The Index starts at $199 a month. Before you pay, Ahrefs' Free AI Visibility Checker runs with no signup across 6 platforms, ChatGPT included, and lists the domains and pages each one cites.
Where it falls short: there is no free trial of the paid product, billing per check means each extra engine eats into the same budget (a Claude update costs 8 checks), and no country setting is recorded. Sources: Ahrefs pricing, recorded 24 September 2026, and the free checker, checked 29 September 2026.
4. SE Visible
SE Visible, SE Ranking's AI visibility product, checks your prompts every day on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews. It says it gathers each answer through the platform's own interface rather than an API, which for ChatGPT means a record closer to what a person typing the question would see. Its AI Sources report ranks the domains and URLs cited most, grouped as media, blogs, forums and similar, which doubles as an outreach list.
Basic is $99 a month, or $79 billed annually, for 200 prompts (about 30,000 AI answers analysed a month) across 3 projects, with unlimited users and a 10-day trial.
Where it falls short: prompts can be run from 7 countries in five languages, so markets outside them are not covered, and Claude and query fan-out analysis are listed as coming soon. Source: SE Visible, recorded 24 September 2026.
5. Rankscale
Rankscale bills in credits and lets you schedule every prompt anywhere from hourly to monthly. A ChatGPT check costs 0.25 credits, so the 1,200 credits on Pro cover up to 4,800 ChatGPT answers a month. It adds citation, sentiment and competitor analysis, and its ad and shopping analysis covers ChatGPT, which matters if your products can appear in ChatGPT's shopping results.
Pro is $99 a month, or $84 billed yearly, with a 7-day trial. Essentials is $17 a month, sold yearly only at $204, with 120 credits, enough for 480 ChatGPT checks a month.
Where it falls short: costs are harder to predict once you add pricier engines (a Claude check uses 2 credits), Essentials does not roll unused credits over, and no country setting is recorded. Source: Rankscale pricing, recorded 17 October 2026.
6. Trakkr
Trakkr asks ChatGPT your prompts every day and stores the full answer, whether live search was used, every URL cited, the competitors named and your position among them. Its Growth plan covers all 8 AI models it tracks, ChatGPT included, for one brand with 50 prompts, and adds perception, Reddit and AI crawler reports.
Growth is $100 a month, about 17% less billed annually, with a 14-day trial.
Where it falls short: the trial needs a payment method and bills $100 a month once it ends, Growth tracks a single brand, its pages as a web search returned them describe tracking rather than written fixes, and no country setting is stated. Sources: Trakkr's ChatGPT tracking page and Trakkr's pricing answer, both found by web searches on 28 October 2026.
7. Otterly.AI
Otterly.AI runs your prompts daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, all four on its cheapest plan, and reports brand mentions, link citations and a Brand Visibility Index. Two features suit ChatGPT in particular: ChatGPT ads are tracked on every plan, and prompts can be tracked in more than 50 countries.
Lite is $29 a month, or $25 billed annually, for 15 prompts with unlimited team members. Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude cost extra, and API and MCP access start on Standard at $189 a month.
Where it falls short: 15 prompts is a thin sample of a market, its pages as we recorded them describe recommendations and audits rather than written fixes, and the trial's length is not stated. Source: Otterly.AI pricing, recorded 24 September 2026.
8. Peec AI
Peec AI prices its plans by the number of prompts it runs each day, and every plan includes unlimited users. On self-serve plans you pick 3 models to track, and ChatGPT can be one of them, alongside choices such as Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot and Gemini. Each run records visibility, position and sentiment against your competitors, and its source analytics list the domains and URLs ChatGPT cites, sorted by type. It also tracks AI shopping results at product level.
Starter is $95 a month, or $80 billed annually, for 50 prompts in 1 project. A fourth model adds $35 a month on Starter, and multi-country tracking starts on Advanced at $495.
Where it falls short: ChatGPT uses one of only 3 model slots, the trial's length is not stated, and API access is Enterprise-only. Source: Peec AI pricing, recorded 17 October 2026.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best ChatGPT rank tracker?
For daily ChatGPT checks with the fix for each gap written for you, Cituna (sponsored), from $49 a month. Gauge also writes and publishes articles, at $599 a month. For the tracking alone, Ahrefs Brand Radar ($50), SE Visible ($99), Rankscale ($99), Trakkr ($100), Otterly.AI ($29) and Peec AI ($95) all check ChatGPT daily and record whether it cites your pages.
Is there a free ChatGPT rank tracker?
Not one that checks your own questions every day. Ahrefs' Free AI Visibility Checker covers ChatGPT with no signup, and Parse's free plan asks your topics in ChatGPT with weekly updates. For a short free run on your own questions, Trakkr offers a 14-day trial, SE Visible a 10-day trial, Rankscale a 7-day trial of Pro and Cituna a 3-day trial with a card. Our list of free AI visibility checkers compares eight free tools.
Do ChatGPT rank trackers use web search?
Some say so and most do not state it. Rankability says its tracker runs with live web search on, Trakkr records whether each answer used live search, and SE Visible collects answers through ChatGPT's own interface. Ask any other vendor which mode it records, because the same question can name different brands in each.
