10 Best Social Media Schedulers for Agencies in 2026

By

· Updated · 15 min read

For an agency that wants one flat price per client brand, however many channels each brand runs, the best social media scheduler is PostWharf: each brand gets its own workspace with unlimited channels, every plan includes the API, an MCP server, a CLI and a delivery receipt on each post, and three brands cost $29 a month. Metricool charges $45 a month for up to 10 brands when one account per network is enough, with approvals and client management on its Advanced plan; Sendible and SocialPilot sell approvals and white-label options on their higher plans; Agorapulse includes white-label reports on every plan; and Vista Social adds multi-stage approvals at $149 to $199 a month for 30 profiles.

We priced all ten at 3, 6 and 10 client brands, from each vendor's own pricing page and, for Vista Social and Planable, dated 2026 pricing summaries, all read on 16 October 2026.

Picks by need:

  • Pay per brand, unlimited channels, API and MCP access: PostWharf, from $15 a month for one brand, $29 for three and $67 for ten.
  • One account per network in each brand: Metricool Starter, $45 a month for up to 10 brands, with X billed extra; approvals and client management need Advanced, from $67.
  • Approvals and unlimited team users from the second tier: Sendible Plus, $99 a month for three workspaces.
  • A workspace per client, billed per account: Publer Professional, $4 an account a month from the third account, every 10th free.
  • White-label reports with unlimited client seats: SocialPilot Premium, $100 a month for 25 accounts and six users.
  • Approval chains with more than one reviewer: Vista Social Advanced, $149 to $199 a month for 30 profiles.
  • Client sign-off as the main job: Planable, $33 to $39 per workspace a month on Basic.
  • A shared inbox, with white-label reports on every plan: Agorapulse Standard, $99 a user a month for 10 profiles.

To try one client brand in its own workspace before you pay anything, start PostWharf's seven-day Starter trial: one workspace with unlimited channels, and nothing to pay if you cancel before the seven days are up.

How we chose these 10

We started from the 20 schedulers in a Cituna scan of social-scheduling questions on 16 October 2026: the eight it tracks and the twelve that AI answer engines named most often beyond those. We checked nine of them, plus PostWharf, and kept the tools that:

  • publish a self-serve price that a dated 2026 source reports,
  • post to several networks for more than one brand from a single account,
  • offer at least one of three ways to keep clients apart: a separate workspace or brand per client, an approval step before posts go out, or client-facing access or white-label reports.

All nine passed. For PostWharf we read postwharf.com and its pricing page on 16 October 2026. Prices, plan limits and client features for Sendible, SocialPilot, Metricool, Buffer, Publer, Hootsuite and Agorapulse come from each vendor's own pages, read the same day. For Vista Social and Planable we ran one web search per tool and used the pricing summaries it returned; most are written by other scheduler vendors, so those entries name the source beside each figure and say where two sources disagree. In the tables, "not confirmed" means the pages or summaries we read did not show the feature; it does not mean the tool lacks it.

PostWharf is listed first. The other nine are ordered by how many of the three client-separation features we could confirm, then by the monthly price at six brands in the cost table, lowest first, taking the lower figure where the table gives a range.

We did not check Sprout Social, Later, SocialBee, CoSchedule, MeetEdgar, Postiz, Pallyy, Blotato, Ayrshare, Zoho Social or Meta Business Suite for this page, so they are not ranked.

What each scheduler costs at 3, 6 and 10 brands

The table assumes three channels per client brand (say Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn), so 9, 18 and 30 channels in total, one team member unless the plan includes more, monthly billing, and the cheapest plan that holds every brand on its own. Where a tool sells workspaces or brands, we count one per client. Agorapulse is the exception: none of its plans with a published price holds more than 10 profiles, so its cells add extra profiles to Standard.

Three things move these totals. Plans built on channel or profile counts (Buffer, Publer, SocialPilot and Vista Social), and Agorapulse once past its 10 profiles, climb when a client adds a fifth or sixth network, while PostWharf's workspaces and Metricool's brands do not. Approvals often sit on a higher plan than the one in the table: Buffer's Team plan, which has them, costs $108 a month for nine channels against $54 on Essentials, Metricool's approvals start on Advanced, at $67 a month for up to 15 brands, and Agorapulse's on Professional, at $149 a user. And add-ons for X change two rows: Metricool bills X at $10 a month per X account on every paid tier, and CostBench reports X publishing on Vista Social as a $29 a month add-on.

The 10 schedulers, ranked

1. PostWharf

PostWharf is a social media scheduler: you write a post once and send it to every account a brand runs, from one composer and one queue. The composer takes one caption and one set of hashtags, and you can override either for a single network. Each client sits in its own workspace, which holds that brand's channels, drafts, queue and delivery history apart from every other brand, and five Instagram accounts under one brand still count as one workspace. Publishing is live on 10 networks: Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and Telegram.

Pricing follows the number of brands. Starter is $15 a month for one workspace and 200 scheduled posts, Startup is $29 for three workspaces and 400 posts, Plus is $67 for 10 workspaces and 1,000 posts, and Pro is $99 for unlimited workspaces and 2,500 posts. Billed yearly, those become $10, $23, $54 and $79 a month. No plan charges per channel and no network carries a surcharge (PostWharf pricing, read 16 October 2026).

Two things matter when a client asks what happened to a post. After publishing, PostWharf checks each post again and records a receipt with one row per network, and a failed delivery is retried on its own. For agencies that run part of the work through automation, every plan includes a REST API with one key per workspace, webhooks, an MCP server that works with Claude Code and other MCP clients, and the wharf command-line tool from npm. It lists Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, n8n, Zapier and Make among the tools it works with, and when AI drafts a post, nothing goes out until you approve it (PostWharf, read 16 October 2026).

Where it falls short: its pages do not list analytics or reporting dashboards, a social inbox, white-label reports, a client approval portal or a free forever plan, so an agency that sends clients branded reports will need another tool for that part. Reddit, Discord, Snapchat and WordPress are on request and cannot be connected yet, and the monthly cap on scheduled posts (200 to 2,500, by plan) is the limit to watch as clients grow. Support is email on Startup, priority on Plus and dedicated on Pro.

To put your first client in its own workspace with every channel it runs, try PostWharf's Starter plan free for seven days; the card is charged only if you keep the plan past the trial.

2. Metricool

Metricool charges by bands of brands, and a brand holds one profile per platform. Starter is $25 a month ($20 billed yearly) for up to five brands and $45 ($36 billed yearly) for up to ten. Advanced is $67 a month ($53 billed yearly) for up to 15 brands and adds team and client management, post approvals and the API, and white label sits on the Custom plan, priced through sales. The free plan covers one brand with no LinkedIn or X (Metricool pricing, read 16 October 2026).

Where it falls short: a client with two Instagram accounts does not fit in one brand, X is a paid add-on at $10 a month per X account on every paid tier, and approvals and client management are not on Starter, so an agency that needs them pays at least $67 a month, however few clients it has.

3. Sendible

Sendible prices by workspace, and each workspace comes with six social profiles. Core is $35 a month ($30 billed yearly) for one workspace and six profiles, and Plus is $99 a month ($84 billed yearly) for three workspaces and 18 profiles, according to Sendible's pricing page, read 16 October 2026. Every tier includes unlimited users, and approvals start on Plus. Client Connect lets clients link their own social profiles without sharing passwords.

Above Plus, Premium is $199 a month ($169 billed yearly) for 7 workspaces and 42 profiles, and Elite is $299 a month ($254 billed yearly) for 15 workspaces and 90 profiles. White label is a paid add-on on Elite and Enterprise only: Sendible's pricing FAQ puts it from $349 a month on Elite and $800 on Enterprise, while its white-label page quotes $268, so ask for the all-in price in writing.

Where it falls short: six profiles per workspace is tight for a client on many networks, and the jump from three workspaces to seven doubles the bill to $199, though Plus can add a workspace for $30 a month, so four or five clients cost $129 or $159.

4. Publer

Publer charges per social account. From the third account on, Professional works out to $4 per account a month ($12 for three, $20 for five) and Business to $7 ($21 and $35), every 10th account is free, and Professional already includes unlimited workspaces, so it is the cheapest plan that holds every client. Each team member beyond the plan owner adds $2 a month on Professional or $3 on Business, and workspaces come with member roles and approval workflows (Publer's plans page, read 16 October 2026). The free plan has one user, one workspace and three social accounts, without X.

Where it falls short: every new account adds to the bill, so 30 accounts on Professional come to $108 a month with every 10th account free; analytics, the API and the MCP server need Business, at $7 an account; and check that approvals come with Professional before you count on them at that price.

5. Buffer

Buffer bills per channel. Essentials is $6 a channel a month ($5 billed yearly) for one user, and Team is $12 a channel ($10 billed yearly) with unlimited users, approval workflows, access controls and branded reports. Channels 11 to 25 cost $4 each and channels 26 to 50 cost $3, so 50 channels on Essentials come to $195 a month (Buffer pricing, read 16 October 2026). Buffer last changed these prices in November 2025, according to NapoleonCat's Buffer pricing summary (August 2026).

Where it falls short: approvals and branded reports need Team, which doubles the rate for the first ten channels (nine channels cost $108 a month on Team against $54 on Essentials), and the pages we read do not show a separate workspace per client.

6. SocialPilot

SocialPilot sells bundles of accounts and users. Essentials is $30 a month for 7 accounts and one user, Standard is $50 for 15 accounts and three users, Premium is $100 for 25 accounts and six users, and Ultimate is $200 for 50 accounts and unlimited users, with yearly billing 15% lower ($25.50, $42.50, $85 and $170). Premium adds white-label reports and unlimited client seats, and SocialPilot's plans page places white-labelling and client approval workflows on Premium and Ultimate. There is a 14-day trial and no free plan (SocialPilot plans, read 16 October 2026).

Where it falls short: limits are counted in accounts, so a client who adds networks pushes you toward the next bundle, and the pages we read do not show a separate workspace per client.

7. Vista Social

Vista Social's Professional plan is $79 a month for 15 profiles with single-stage approvals. Advanced is $149 for 30 profiles and adds multi-stage approvals, custom reports and integrations with Zapier, Make and MCP. Scale is $349 for 70 profiles and adds white-label setup and client profile connections, and Enterprise is priced on request (CASRAI's Vista Social pricing guide, which says it checked the vendor page on 18 August 2026). User limits differ between summaries: CASRAI lists 2, 4 and 8 users, and CostBench lists 3, 6 and 10. A newer summary, Socialync's Vista Social comparison (October 2026, a competitor's page), reports a rise between 21 and 28 September 2026 to $99 for Professional, $199 for Advanced and $449 for Scale, with the same 15, 30 and 70 profiles, while noting that Vista Social's own comparison page still shows Scale at $379. Check the current price before you sign.

Where it falls short: white-label and client connections wait for the $349 to $449 plan, and CostBench reports X publishing as a $29 a month add-on outside every plan.

8. Planable

Planable bills per workspace per month, so a three-client agency pays for three. The Basic plan is $33 per workspace a month according to CostBench (verified June 2026) or $39 according to PostPlanify (May 2026), with 60 posts. Pro is $49 to $59 per workspace with 150 posts, and its Capterra listing shows 10 social pages and three approval types per workspace, against two types on Basic. The free plan allows 50 posts in total and one workspace.

Where it falls short: per-workspace billing multiplies with every client, so 10 clients on Basic run $330 to $390 a month, and the post allowance per workspace is small on Basic. The two summaries disagree on price, so check the current figure.

9. Agorapulse

Agorapulse prices per user, and the 10 social profiles on its self-serve plans are shared across everyone on the account. Standard is $99 a user a month ($79 billed yearly) with unlimited scheduling, a unified inbox and white-label reports. Professional, at $149 ($119 billed yearly), adds simple approval workflows and inbox assignments, and Advanced, at $199 ($149 billed yearly), adds bulk CSV scheduling, queues and five shared calendars for clients. Extra profiles cost $15 a month each on monthly billing or $10 on yearly, so 18 profiles on Standard come to $219 a month and 30 to $399 (Agorapulse pricing, read 16 October 2026).

Where it falls short: every user is a paid seat at the full plan rate, the 10 included profiles cover the whole account rather than each client, multi-step approvals are only on the Custom plan sold through a demo, and X inbox and reporting need the X Plus add-on at $50 per X profile a month (Agorapulse's X integration page, read 16 October 2026).

10. Hootsuite

Hootsuite prices per user. Standard is $99 a user a month billed yearly for up to 10 social accounts, and each extra seat costs another $99. Above 10 accounts, Professional is $199 and Advanced $399 a user a month, both billed yearly and both with unlimited accounts, and approval workflows are on Advanced only (Hootsuite plans, read 16 October 2026).

Where it falls short: the bill grows with every person on the team, and approvals sit on the highest plan with a published price.

Hooking a scheduler into the rest of your workflow

A scheduler is the last step in most agency content pipelines. If a client publishes a blog, an n8n workflow that watches the RSS feed and queues a caption for each new post keeps their channels moving without anyone copying links. For clients who need more than one post per article, turning one blog post into five social posts with AI fills a week of the queue, and a ChatGPT content calendar for a month of posts gives each brand a plan before anything is scheduled.

Before you choose

Prices in this category change often, and Vista Social's and Planable's figures above come from third-party summaries, so confirm the plan you pick on the vendor's own pricing page before you sign.

If paying per client brand with unlimited channels fits how you work, start PostWharf's seven-day Starter trial and move one client in first. To see what the rest of your automation stack costs and does, browse the Automate Basics tools directory.
